Mid-term requirements

The Med-Term Exam is at Saturday, 11 of December, 10,30-12,30.
The Mid-Term exercise is the following:
1. Create a 3d model of a building using given dimensions.
2. Apply materials as it is shown in the real photo.
3. Set up the sky, shadows, sun.
4. Produce 2 renders from different points of view (1024x768)

The Mid-Term presentation of the project will be arranged at the next lecture.
Mid – term presentation.
For the mid-term students asked to present the 3d model of the house chosen from the ORDOS 100 project list using following recommendations:

1. PowerPoint Presentation of the project should consist on:

- part 1.
Introduction: General information about the chosen project (plans, facades, sections, images, diagrams, photos)
- part 2.
The process of modelling: plans redrawn by a student, Screenshots of the model during modelling process (screenshots must show the different elements created at every step, for example – drawing walls, doors & windows, roofs etc.), Screenshots of the model without materials and with applied ones, Screenshots of separate layers (if used), List of materials with illustrations.
- part 3.
Rendering: at least 4 renders of the model (1500X1200) showing the house from different points of view. One night-scene render using the settings of night or evening sky and several sources of light (the intensity of the source of light must be low in order to achieve the effect of the night scene). Renders should be done from the point of view which is similar to the given photos, and materials and light effects should be also identical. Renders must be presented in comparison.

2. Poster format A2:
On the poster should be:
- the name and information about the project
- several screenshots
- renders in comparison
3. Presentation must be uploaded to blog www.epoka3d.blogspot.com using ISSUU. The labels for the presentation must be: mid-term presentation, AutoCAD, project name, student name
